A USA Work Visa allows foreign nationals to live and work in the United States for a specific employer and period. These visas are typically employer-sponsored and come in several categories depending on the nature of the job, skills, and duration. The most common is the H-1B visa for skilled professionals, while others include L-1, O-1, and seasonal work visas like H-2B.
How It Works
An employer in the U.S. must first offer you a job.
The employer files a petition with U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS).
Once approved, you apply for a work visa at the U.S. embassy in your country.
If granted, you can enter the U.S. and work legally for the sponsoring employer.
Most visas are issued for 1–3 years and may be extended.
